Question V8 Super utes

What happened to the other V8 ute category that was going to happen? From memory they were going to be of similar spec to the V8 Supercars. Last I heard there was some clash between the crowd that wanted to run it and Procar? I think Procar reckoned they had the "copyright" on racing V8 utes.

Who cares, I think the Brute Series is the best in Australia. If only they don't get too heavy with penalties.

I remember now I had heard something like that. The minature FJ Holdens (Aussie Legends?) were on the TV the other day I think, maybe Procar took them over?

I agree BDA55, BRutes are great.

Last night I was watching the Brute racing on Foxtel. The meet was up in Queensland.

I gotta tell ya I'm converted. It was the best racing I have seen in years. And I'd never thought I'd see Gricie in a Ford. I think they should have the Brutes as support for the V8 Super cars. I think it would help the catagory which I think has been getting a little stale of late....

Was possibly the same broadcast that I saw on SBS.
What a great show!!!!
The racing was brilliant, the action was brilliant, and the commentators actually sounded as if they were enjoying the racing as much as I did. Supercars can and should learn a great deal from the way this was presented.
Somehow I doubt they will though..
If they go ahead and change the QLD 500 into two 250 km races, and change the Bathurst race as it is planned, then I will give up totally on the V8 Supercars..
Mr Cochrane, you are slowly but surely stuffing up what used to be entertaining racing. Pander to the corporate world if you wish, but when all the loyal fans give the game away, there won't be a category left..

Ed :)
