Must of been awarded for his last race!
If you look at the definition of this award it is given to the driver who has most consistently gained the most places throughout the year.
If you look at Cromleys record he has often gained 12-13 places in the first race and then backed that up with another 6-7 places in the second race. That is what the award is for.
Now if you really want to be critical why not question why he always qualified so poorly??
While I'm glad to see Colin Bond receive long overdue recognition I would like to know how he makes the AVESCO Hall of Fame, as I don't recall him ever driving a V8 Supercar?

I think you could argue the fact that Colin Bond has probably given more to Australian motor racing than another other driver this country has produced. That reason alone would put him in the hall of fame.
Russ,
Take my comment in the context it was writen, as humour not criticism. I'm well aware of his record.

No agruement from me Jamie on Colin's ability or record, I just question the AVESCO award & not say a CAMS award.
Last time I looked AVESCO did not control all aspects of Australian Motorsport but they sure make the most noise!
