V8 Superstars

Did anybody see V8 Superstars today?? Well the bit I saw, they were discussing traction control, hehehe, should've seen Skaife try and put his opinion on the matter across, stumbling all over his own words. To me he looked very uncomfortable when talking about this, especially when all other panelists, holden and ford, were going against what he was saying about introducing a generic, Traction Control Unit that all teams would use.

I think HRT and possibly others are using some sort of launch control/traction control.

There seems to be a perception that one if not more teams are actually usuing it atm. That was the impression I got from what the guys said on the show anyway..

Maybe thats the reason he is so fast on the first lap on cold tyres.Maybe Stone brothers have something up their sleeve also as Ambrose is good early on.

What about someone like Lowndes, who has always been good on cold tyres, or in wet conditions? Can't blame traction control on good driving all the time.

surprised Russel didn't come to grips witht the fact that a bad traction control would be worse than none at all

confused

Thought its was interesting that about half the panel thought it was happening under the current rules & acknowleged that it was unlikely to be detected if someone was serious.
Like F1 the solution is obvious.

You have to love the Ingall/Skaife spats on V8 Superstars; funny stuff (especially when Ingall has a real red hot go at big nose).

The traction control issue does'nt look like it will go away until they make it legal. Shades of formula one. They had to re- introduce it as it was too hard to police and the smaller teams were suffering as a result.
