After watching the races Whats the go with the VY V8 supercar they all crashed or when of the track.
Mark skaife slide off , Toddy Kelly was smached, simion wills slide off ,Garth tander hit the wall, Pual morris smashed.

Is there something wrong with the VY? The BAs floged them . Even Jason Barg in the AU came 4th in race 2.

Holden are having a hard time getting the car set up by the looks of it, similar to what the AU was like at the start. Except, the AU's still have less downforce, so it seems Holden will just have to LIFT there game.

there is nothing wrong it just seems that way because Kelly went out for weekend, Tander out for the weekend, skaife was at the back due to spin in first race, dynamic which ran most the VY's are a brand new team so you cant expect much from them and that was all the new VY's. And most Vy's were ahead of BA's at qualifying.
In todays race scaife came from the back of the grid to 8th with a few laps left, so it doesnt look to slow

And why is it that when the good holden teams has a bad week in a non championship exhibition, that all of a sudden ford have the upper hand. scaife, kelly, tander were infront of ingal at start so if they didnt have misfortunes (especially kelly and tander which were involved in first corner crash) ingal probally would have been further down the field for second round and probally wouldnt won.

Holden teams have a bad week??? so murphy had a bad day yesterday????

Ingalls car was very stable, and if u watch the first race u will see why the VY's weren't so good this weekend. They seemed to have a lot of oversteer as the races went on, which would suggest that the cars are using the rear tyres much faster than the VX or BA. Skaife went off because his rear tyres were shot, and not suprisingly, since the V8's have a controlled ECU now. The VY in time will get better, but it will be similar to the AU, in the fact the way the car uses its tyres. With longer races, i think we will see VX's up at the front of the grid, and the VY's, will initially struggle. The BA, well it is fast in the shorter races, but adelaide will be the race when we know how they are going to go. "IF" this weekend is to go by, the BA will be a very competitive package.

I think they just need a bit of time.

In theory we already have parity if "blueprint" works so there should be no reason aside from team skills and driver skill for the VY to be as competitive as the BA.

The Holden teams may just have to come to grips with the Ford's and their teams actually giving them a good run for finish instead of having an advantage.

Memories of all the "sandbagging" claims during the 70s and early 80s.

There were only 3 or 4 VYs at AGP. Most of the Commodores were VXs, not sure if they were saving them for Clipsal 500 or they just weren't ready yet.
