LESS than three months after extending his Jaguar contract, Mark Webber is being linked to Williams, F1's current glamour team.
Despite contracts in place for Webber to stay with Jaguar until the end of 2005, a switch could come as early as next season.
Webber's name has come up amid speculation that Colombian Juan Pablo Montoya is poised to move from Williams to McLaren.
The scenario could see Scotsman David Coulthard replace Webber at Jaguar.
A nine-times world champion team, Williams have become highly competitive again recently.
Ralf Schumacher has done more of the winning than Montoya but has not been as consistent. Both are under contract until the end of next year, with Schumacher on a much bigger salary than Montoya, who is said by F1 paddock experts to be growing increasingly unhappy.
Webber's name has been mentioned in connection with Williams, thanks to his strong showing this year at Jaguar.
