I am not sure but is there a rule to have the race shortened like Sandown?? Instead of the 161 laps?? I hope not. If it goes past 5pm will channel 10 delay the F1 telecast or not?? I don't want a shite telecast on Sunday, I want to see the whole race (161 laps and what channel 10 shows in between the ads).

Didn't last years race run just about to 5pm . i remember ch 10 crossing straight to the news because of the Bali bombing and than showed the podium presentation later on sports tonight. Being the biggest race of the year i do think it does go the whole distance. Shouldn't take any more than 7 hrs .

Don't know about the actual distance Vs time rule, but rain and the safety car have governed the time the race finishes lately.

I know it's a safety issue, but it's just not the same as back in the Group C days when you get a pace car out on track for every single crash (or so it seems).

Other forums have said the bathurst time limit is 5.45PM, so unless there is an extreme number of safety cars or torrential downpours it should be fairly safe to run the distance

It better not be shortened, especially after $130/campsite & $93 to get in!
