What an absolute superb drive by Craig Lowndes. Battling in a GSR built car all weekend he manages to pickup 26 spots today to finish in a fantastic 7th place. Not forgetting his great save and a 3rd pitstop for front tyres. Once Prodrive's input starts showing, expect some excellent results.

I was talking to some FPR people in the Ford Marquee and they were saying to watch out around round 5 when soime new parts for the car are going to be used.

Yep it was a great drive. Now all he has to do is have a car that will last the race meeting and we will see him on the podium!

Lets not forget Radisich...... he was the highest place Ford driver after starting from last position....
So yeah, 7th is good... but not good enough... its nothing really....
Ever since Lowndes has come to Ford everyone keeps saying how good is he.... but he's yet to prove hes worth all that money Ford are paying him IMO... What has he done???
You can come through the field as much as you want but what we need is results..... NOT good drives to 7th place.....

Ford need to give the guy a decent car, not the half assed efforts of recent years, remember it was engine failure that put him at the back of the grid. Hopefully FPR turn out to be more than hype and we can see what craig is capable of.

Maybe HRO are paying Max Wilsons wages?? You'd think so with all the other Ford drivers he takes out.

FPR need time to get everything going properly. They still have to build and develop another 2 BA's, maybe build up another 1 or 2 as spares then Prodrive can do their stuff. In the meantime the drivers are quietly logging mileage and keeping the cars straight. The last thing they need at this stage is a trashed car.

I questioned a while ago on another thread about FPR if it's another smokescreen like Ford Tickford Racing was or another house of cards built around Lowndesy (Gibson Motorsport or 00 Motorsport). David Flint replied assuring everyone that FPV is for real as the Ford works team.

Lets not forget Glenn's effects!!!!!

Becuase of this he had to pit on lap 1 or 2 & was effectively last after lap 1. So to come through the field in an "AU" & bend steering to finish 10 is a great job!!!! And his now 11th in the championship.

Give credit where credit is due I say.

Does anyone know when fpr will have their 2nd BA on the race track??
