i was reading somewhere this morning that the Fords are good in qualifying,but havent got the race pace consistancy.I was just wondering who has scored most poles this year and can someone pleease explain to me the reason why Ford havent got the race pace but can kik arse in qualifying...

As Russell Ingall mentioned on V8Superstars the Fords aren't actually good in qualifying it's only Ambrose that is consistantly up the front........the rest are scattered mid-pack.

Over a race distance the Fords struggle because they wear out their tyres alot quicker than what the Holdens do, due to the fact the the Commodores have a better rear suspension and a wider track.

Holden's have better rear suspension? Don't they run th exact same Live rear setup? Or is that the whole problem, as the Holden doesnt have a Live rear on it's production car it had to be specially engineered or something like that?

For some reason Ford have more axle tramp. The control arm are different, seem to make the difference
