2003 Ford Mustang LineUp
By Bob Plunkett/ TCC Buyers Guide
Cool new colors like Redfire Clearcoat and Silver Clearcoat Metallic mark the 2003 editions of Ford's classic pony car. The lineup includes coupe and convertible in base and GT trim, plus the powerful SVT Cobra coupe and convertible. The base 3.8-liter V-6 produces 190 hp, while the GT cars sport a 260-hp, single-cam 4.6-liter V-8. All versions get retuned suspensions with new shock absorbers. The new low-to-the-ground Mustang Mach 1 carries a functional ram-air scoop on the hood to funnel in cool outside air for more power and torque; with calibrated cams and modified upper intake to accommodate the ram-air system, the Mach 1 V-8 jumps to 300 hp. In the cabin, Mach 1 has black leather seats, instruments with retro-look dials and polished aluminum pedals. Also new for Mustang is a V-6 Pony Package that creates the look of a GT and adds a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The rejuvenated SVT Cobra packs a Roots-type Eaton supercharger and new aluminum cylinder heads on its 4.6-liter V-8 for a 390-hp wallop. A six-speed manual is standard, as are SVT-tuned springs with Bilstein shocks and 17-inch Goodyear Eagle F1 tires, with the cabin dressed in leather and suede.

My first car was a 67 Mustang Coupe, 2nd one was a 67 Cougar XR-7, 3rd one was a 66 Mustang Coupe. Why did I get rid of these cars for ? I know why, because I'm stupid, stupid, stupid.
