SAO PAULO (Reuters) -- Ford Brasil will announce on Friday, Jan. 5, plans to buy Brazilian off-road vehicle manufacturer Troller, a source close to the deal told Reuters.
The acquisition will be presented by the president of Ford Brasil following an afternoon meeting with Brazil's President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, the source said.
Troller produces about 100 vehicles per month of two off-road models: the T4 SUV and a pickup called the Pantanal.
The company said in November that it was in talks to sell to Ford Brasil.
