CAN: All-New 2004 Ford F-150 Leads Ford Of Canada Sales
Ford F-Series pickup truck sales were up 16 per cent over October 2002, driven by the all-new F-150. Total truck sales of 11,562 were down 8.4 per cent from last October while car sales were off 27.3 per cent with sales of 4,239. Combined sales of 15,801 vehicles were 14.4 per cent behind October last year.
"The all-new F-150 is bringing new customers into Ford of Canada dealer showrooms. When they see and experience this totally re-engineered truck, they are delighted to see what a pickup truck can be," said John Vernile, Ford Motor Company of Canada, Limited, director of Field Operations. "Many of these customers are ordering the new F-150 on the spot."
"We fully expect F-Series to continue it’s 37 year reign as the best-selling pickup truck in Canada and the all-new 2004 F-series will only strengthen this domination," added Vernile.
Ford Escape, ninth record sales month in 2003 and best October on record.
Lincoln Navigator sales up 41 per cent over October 2003 and best October since 2000.
