Ford Europe could launch an SUV-style crossover. The new vehicle will fit between the C-Max medium minivan and the next Galaxy large minivan.
At the Geneva auto show Ford will unveil a concept for the vehicle, which it calls an SAV, or sports activity vehicle.
The concept, which has a 5+2 seating configuration, is likely to become a production model, just like the C-Max concept first shown at the 2002 Paris auto show previewed the Focus C-Max. The C-Max went into production in 2003.
The SAV’s production version will debut in September at the IAA in Frankfurt along with a concept for a new seven-seat Galaxy.
At least four carmakers will show their ideas for SUV-style crossovers at this year’s Geneva show.
