Ford Suv Sales Hit All-time High - Canada
For the second month in a row, Ford and Lincoln SUV sales have set a new monthly record. In February, 3,626 Ford and Lincoln SUVs were delivered to customers in Canada – a 33 per cent increase from the same month last year.
Overall, consumers in Canada purchased 17,437 new Ford and Lincoln vehicles in February, a 0.8 per cent increase from the same month last year. Truck sales were up 1.1 per cent to 12,333 units while car sales remained steady at 5,104 units.
"In this strong auto market, Canadians are buying vehicles that suit their busy, active lifestyles," said Robert Girard, vice president of sales, Ford Motor Company of Canada, Limited. "From the convenience and affordability of the Ford Escape compact SUV, to the agility and elegance of the all-new Lincoln Aviator – we offer what meets customers' needs."
Lincoln sales hit 14-year high
Fueled by record-breaking sales of the Navigator, a 30.7-per-cent sales increase for Town Car, and the introduction of the all-new Aviator, Lincoln sales jumped 28 per cent last month, breaking a 14-year-old sales record.
February Highlights
Ford Escape scored its best February ever with an 18.6 per cent increase
Ford Expedition sales were up 44.7 per cent
Ford Explorer sales jumped 32.9 per cent
Lincoln Navigator sales soared with a 184.2 per cent increase, a new record for February
Ford Mustang sales were up 4.6 per cent
Ford Focus sales increased 3.5 per cent
