That's the message from experts at America's Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, who found it suffered the most damage – against nine other saloons – in a 5mph head-on crash, and cost ,700 (£1,160) to fix.
Their study also slated the Saab 9-5, Lexus IS300, Volvo S60 and Hyundai XG350. By comparison, the Toyota Camry suffered only 3 (£165) of damage. A Jaguar spokesman said: "We use premium materials, so repair costs are often high."
