Land Rover Settles With Chassis Maker
LAND ROVER SETTLES WITH CHASSIS MAKER
Land Rover won't shutter its Discovery production thanks to an agreement
with the number crunchers at KPMG. Land Rover had faced a shutoff of
chassis deliveries due to the bankruptcy of its chief supplier, UPF UK
Ltd. KPMG, which is administering the smaller company while it is
receivership. Land Rover and KPMG said on Tuesday that an agreement for
Land Rover to assume UPF's debts had been entered, thus preserving
deliveries and an estimated 1000 jobs at the automaker, now a part of Ford
's global empire.
