We're still debating the X-Type's overall "Jaguar-ness," but the optional Sport Package certainly raises the baby Jag's game. Sport seats and wood veneer interior trim are nice touches, while tuned springs, damp-ers and antiroll bars eliminate the standard car's floaty feel. Combined with the 3.0-liter's 231 hp, the suspension changes transform the X-Type from soft boulevardier to something resembling a driver's car. It's hard for us to accept an automatic gearbox in anything purporting to be a sport model, but the speed and smoothness of our test car's tranny surprised more than one driver. With the package's dynamic stability control, snow-covered roads will fear you-if you can stomach exposing your baby to the elements, that is.

My first car was a 67 Mustang Coupe, 2nd one was a 67 Cougar XR-7, 3rd one was a 66 Mustang Coupe. Why did I get rid of these cars for ? I know why, because I'm stupid, stupid, stupid.
My next Ford.....
