Mini-Review: Jaguar XJR 100
AutoWeek/11-04-02
You may not think such a powerful car belongs on the streets when the going gets salty, but the Jaguar XJR 100 may be the prototypical rich phat man's car (uh, note the "ph"). It wants to be seen-anytime-and experienced-by everyone. While we've never actually seen a civilian model exceeding the speed limit, despite those autobahn specs, we think it's because the XJR's swank, swaddling interior makes for such a serene driving experience at good ol' cruising speeds. From its plush leather upholstery to its lacquered bird's-eye maple trim, soaking in the sumptuousness of the XJR supercedes the need for speed. Besides, going too fast would prevent many from seeing the statement it makes as it whooshes by in a blur, and it's all about statement, right?
