Mini Review: Volvo S80 75TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION
AutoWeek/11-04-02
Early snow is always a possibility in northern climes, with white stuff arriving in flurries around the time you tuck away that sports car in exchange for roomy-fit jeans, hours of chip dip-drenched football, and the Volvo. Yes, the Swedish-mobile does exceptionally well year round, but you don't long to drive it until that first dusting sends SUVs flying off the tarmac in donuts of machismo. The S80 knows how to plow through snow like a Caterpillar, thanks to its reassuring front-wheel drive and standard stability and traction control. Not the most exciting car, to be sure, but nothing beats safe, solid and stout this time of year. That's Volvo.
