More Ousters In The Works At Ford?

You might need a scorecard to keep up with all the changes that have been
taking place at Ford Motor Co. in recent weeks, but several well-placed
sources suggest still more are on the way, and could mean big changes for
Ford's Premier Automotive Group. All but certain to depart for "other
ventures" is Sue Callaway, the former journalist who was named head of the
Jaguar division last year. Up in the air is the tenure of PAG's number-two
executive and one-time BMW U.S. chief Vic Doolan. Closely associated with
the Premier Group's former boss, Wolfgang Reitzle, Doolan is also reported
to be considering opportunities elsewhere in the industry. A third
transition reportedly involves Karen Francis, head of Ford's e-commerce
arm, ConsumerConnect. Former general manager of Oldsmobile, and a one-time
pencil company exec, Francis has never really melded into the Ford
corporate hierarchy, sources say, and has seen her duties whittled away as
the automaker pares back its online efforts. Like Callaway and Doolan,
Francis was brought into Ford by ousted CEO Jac Nasser. Though Chairman
Bill Ford continues to insist there is no purge of Nasser-ites, those
closely allied to the former chairman are being scrutinized closely as the
struggling automaker continues its corporate shake-up.
