Record Sales For Land Rover
IRVINE, Calif., Aug. 1, 2002 – Aston Martin Jaguar Land Rover North America today reports monthly sales in the United States for the organization, totaling 9,208 vehicles sold, up 82 percent. Land Rover achieved an all-time record month in the US selling 4,057 vehicles, up 95 percent from the same period last year. Range Rover monthly sales totaled 939, an increase of 88 percent. Jaguar monthly sales totaled 5,131 cars sold, up 73 percent.
"Jaguar and Land Rover are launching exciting initiatives to continue our sales momentum," said Doug Speck, vice president of retail operations for Aston Martin Jaguar Land Rover North America. "Jaguar uses its British heritage to launch the London Calling end-of-summer marketing campaign, and Land Rover has announced details of its 2003 Land Rover G4 Challenge which will give a world-wide audience the opportunity to witness the capabilities of its three models."
The organization has sold 60,805 vehicles year-to-date, up 63 percent from the same period last year when 37,255 vehicles were sold. Jaguar reports 37,773 cars sold year-to-date, up 63 percent. Land Rover sales total 22,719 vehicles year-to-date, an increase of 63 percent.
