Special Vehicle Displays

43 vintage Model Ts are traveling 3,000 miles; from California to Dearborn
24 Australian Falcons will be on display and will be the largest collection of Australian Falcons outside of Australia
100 "very special" vehicles – one from each of Ford's 100 years – will be on display
25 "Heart and Soul" vehicles from The Ford Century will be on display
Over 3,000 classic Ford vehicles from all eight brands will be on display, including Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, Jaguar, Volvo, Land Rover, Aston Martin and Mazda
Ford Racing Drivers Legends


NASCAR drivers will be on-site June 12 for Ford Racing Night; drivers include Ricky Rudd, Dale Jarrett, Mark Martin
Other racing legends include: Jackie Stewart, Dan Guerney, Ned Jarrett, Bob Glidden, Mario Andretti, Tom Gloy, Bob Bondurant and more
Guests and Volunteers


Tens of thousands of guests will attend over the five-day period, June 12-16
From all fifty states, plus the District of Columbia
From 9 Canadian providences
From 18 countries, including Chile, Indonesia, New Zealand, Spain
Nearly 450 dealers from around the world will attend THE ROAD IS OURS 100th Anniversary Celebration
Representatives from more than 250 car clubs from around the world are registered to attend
1,400 employees and retirees have volunteered to help assist in this historic Ford event

Logistical Facts


200,000 sq. ft of graphics will be used on the grounds of the Henry Ford II World Center to bring the company's 100 years to life
129 tents ranging in size from 10’ x 10’ to 100’ x 300’
More than 270,000 sq. ft. of space will be “under roof”
Generated power is being used to produce more than 1,000,000 watts of power, producing 715 tons of air conditioning for tented areas
150 shuttle buses will transport guests to and from the property
Four internal trams (each holds approx. 100 people) will circle the property each day from open to close
145,000 sq ft. of asphalt – which is cost-effective, environmentally friendly, temporary and recyclable asphalt – will be used as flooring inside tents
400,000 lbs of gravel has been brought in as a base for the asphalt – all of which will be recycled
Fencing:
More than 6 miles of snow fence will surround the Henry Ford II World Center
More than 1 mile of chain link fence will be used in the entertainment area near the Centennial Theater
17 miles of communication cables – telephone wire, etc. will be provided for use in the various displays, exhibits, tents, Centennial Theater, etc.
Oakwood Health System will set-up 4 medical facilities on the grounds of the Henry Ford II World Center, which will be staffed by a team of 85 medical professionals – including MDs and RNs
Bathroom facilities:
800 stand-alone portable bathrooms
40 portable bathroom trailers
75 independent hand-wash stations
Centennial Concert Series


Centennial Theatre:
More than one million square feet will be used for general admission, outdoor lawn seating
The stage measures 112' wide x 44' deep
The theater will have 3 LED screens measuring 140' x 25' each
Friday, June 13: Earth, Wind & Fire/Detroit Symphony Orchestra and fireworks
Fireworks: 20-minute show with 3800 shells
Saturday, June 14: Beyonce Knowles, Family & Friends
Sunday, June 15: Toby Keith
Food


There will be 60 food-service venues with a variety of food options
7 grills through out the site and pizza ovens on-site making fresh pizza
