Roush Performance rolls out its Classic; production limited to 50 units
Roush Performance is introducing its Roush Classic, which shares the same SVT Cobra mill Ford recently halted production of to make sure the supercharged 4.6-liter V8 was performing correctly. Roush and its customers sure hope they fix what ails the motor, and soon.
Although engineered to ride softer, quieter and more comfortably than other high-performance Mustangs in Roush’s 2003 stable, the Classic shares Roush Stage 3 and 380R design cues, including front fascia, hood, rear spoiler, custom seats and aluminum machined pedals. The Classic hits streets soon with a $43,000 base tag, with production limited to 50 units. A slew of Jack Roush-appointed “interior comforts and exterior dress-up items” unique to the Classic, including a throwback shifter, come standard.
