LoJack, the manufacturer of wireless stolen vehicle recovery systems, says the top 10 cars that get stolen are:
(1) Honda Accord
(2) Toyota Camry
(3) Acura Integra
(4) Nissan Maxima
(5) Honda Civic
(6) Jeep Grand Cherokee
(7) Honda Civic SI
(8) Ford Explorer
(9) Toyota Corolla
(10) Honda Civic DX
LoJack adds that car theft in the U.S. is on the rise again for the first time in 10 years. FBI statistics indicate car theft was up 5.9% in 2001. The company says the most popular days for thieves to steal a car are Friday or Saturday and Monday
