Although the DB5 and DB9 are both destined to hit the road, Aston Martin's AM V8 concept won't be going into production. However, parts of it will definitely be seen again. The company says the car was unveiled at the Detroit Motor Show earlier this year for two reasons - to gauge reaction to the planned look of the DB9 and to concept a baby Aston.

This article is, in fact, incorrect. I recieved an email today confirming that Aston Martin will indeed produce the AMV8Vantage/DB8. This was direct from ALM public relations dept.

Thanks for your email. The Aston Martin AMV8 Vantage concept vehicle

to go into production during 2005. I think maybe the publication has
incorrect information.

Aston Martin Vantage

This spy shot is evidence that Aston Martin is preparing to build the AM V8 Vantage shown as a concept at the Detroit Show earlier this year.

And it looks as though the new baby Aston is going to scare the life out of the likes of Porsche when it arrives in showrooms in 2005, priced from about �60,000. The new model will be the smallest Aston ever produced, and is tipped to feature a range of Jaguar-derived engines.

the point is that the db9 and this thing look exactly the same...they could infact be the same car...as in all these shots could be of the same car- either the "baby" or the db9
