U.S.A.:Ford hikes cash rebates on '03 Taurus and Escape

DETROIT -- Ford Division threw a few more bucks in the pot to clear out 2003 models before the 2004s arrive.
The new rebates are $3,000 on the Taurus and $2,000 on the Escape, each up $500.
The F-150 Flareside and F-series Super Duty pickups are eligible for a $1,000 bonus if buyers finance through Ford Credit. The bonus continues on the Taurus, Ranger and Excursion (all $1,000) and Windstar ($1,500).
Ford Division's incentives are scheduled to expire Sept. 2, the day the current offers end for General Motors and the Chrysler group.
