U.S.A.:Redesigned F150s head to dealers
Detroit Free Press
Ford Motor Co. said it started shipping the redesigned F150 pickup truck to dealers this week to fill more than 66,000 orders for the vehicle the company has called its most important introduction this year.
The automaker is shipping trucks from its Norfolk, Va., plant, which began producing the new model in June. A second plant, at Claycomo, Mo., also began producing the truck this month. Ford announced the start of shipments on its Web site.
F150 production is to start at the Ford's Rouge complex in Dearborn next year.
