Employees give Ford UK the 'thumbs-up'

SEVENTY-ONE per cent of Ford UK's 14,000 employees are proud of Ford as a place to Work.
And, having had some racial issues in the past, Ford will be pleased that an even higher proportion of its ethnic minority workforce feel favourably disposed towards their employer.
The results come from the company's first all-employee survey in which 51% of the workforce responded anonymously.
The results showed that 74% of employees support the effort Ford is putting into maintaining diversity and race equality.
The company said the findings have identified priorities for further work by Ford of Britain's National Diversity Council, which includes employee, senior management and trade union representatives.
"Two years ago Ford launched its 'Dignity at Work' diversity policy and training programme. Our aim is for 20 per cent of employees to undertake this training every year. The surveys shows this investment is paying off with an improvement of up to 10% in diversity awareness," said diversity manager, Kamaljeet Jandu.
