An anonymous millionaire has paid a record-breaking £2million for this historic Le Mans 24 Hours-winning Jaguar D-Type
One of only four surviving works racers, it went under the hammer in a private sale organised by London-based Coys auctions. Of the three other remaining D-Types, two are in private hands and the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust owns the last.
