Ford has tied performance measurements for top executives to initial vehicle quality, according to Dow Jones.
Ford gives stock-related incentives to executives known as Performance Stock Rights (PSR), and now these are linked to how cars perform in the first three months of service. Previously performance was measured over a period of three years.
According to JD Power research, Ford models perform well in long-term durability tests, but not so well in its Initial Quality Survey.
Other metrics in the PSR include global market share, shareholder return, cost performance and vehicle launch performance, said Dow Jones.
