Ford names new marketing manager

DETROIT -- Ford Motor Co. has appointed Mary Lou Quesnell as marketing communications manager for the Ford Division. She is replacing Rich Stoddart, who is returning to the advertising world. Ad agency Leo Burnett USA has hired Stoddart as its president.
Quesnell will take on her new roll Feb. 1. She will be responsible for developing and implementing all advertising and consumer marketing strategies for Ford Division's lineup, the company says in a statement.
Ford hired Quesnell in 1985. Since that time she's held positions in marketing and sales, Ford's car product development, Ford of Europe marketing and sales, and the Ford Automotive Strategy office. Since March 2004, Quesnell was market representation manager for the Lincoln Mercury Division.
Ford hired Stoddart in 2001.
