DETROIT -- Ford Motor Co. announced a 0 percent financing plan to try to move what's left of its 2005 large pickups and SUVs.
The automaker will offer 0 percent financing for up to 72 months on the 2005 Ford F-150, Expedition and Explorer, as well as the Lincoln Aviator and Mercury Mountaineer.
The offer starts immediately and lasts through this month. It can't be used with other incentive programs.
Ford says buyers could shave as much as $64 off monthly payments using the plan, compared with an interest rate of 7 percent on a $20,000 loan.
Ford's U.S. sales fell 19.5 percent in September, the last month of its Family Plan incentive, which offered the employee price to all buyers.
