Stacy94PGT Registered User Join Date: Feb 2001 Location: The Hills of North Georgia,USA Posts: 7,859	US:Ford Recalls Some Pickups and Minivans Ford Recalls Some Pickups and Minivans The Daily Auto Insider Ford is recalling 35,401 Ford Freestar minivans and 4,630 Mercury Monterey minivans from the 2004 model year, and 1,700 2004 F-150 pickups built between March 4 and May 26, 2004, to check for cracks in wheel hubs and fuel tank leaks, respectively. Ford said internal testing of the minivans showed that cracks could form in the steel hub which connects the wheels to the axle. As for the pickups, testing showed the fuel tank could leak if it gets too hot. Ford said there have been no customer complaints or injuries due to either defect. The company plans to begin notifying customers of both recalls within the next few weeks, and its dealers will correct the problem for free. __________________ Stacy94PGT My first car was a 67 Mustang Coupe, 2nd one was a 67 Cougar XR-7, 3rd one was a 66 Mustang Coupe.
