Ford Division announced today that it will continue its current national sales incentives programs essentially unchanged through Sept. 2. Offers include customer cash rebates up to $4,000, zero percent financing for up to 60 months on many models and bonus cash programs on Taurus, Ranger, Windstar and Excursion. Ford also extended a special $750 Military Appreciation discount.


"Ford's sales performance has been strong so far this year, and these programs will help keep our momentum going as the economy gathers steam, thanks to low interest rates, tax cuts and the stock market rebound," said Steve Lyons, Ford Division president. "We think the second half of 2003 will be stronger than the first."


Through June, six Ford nameplates - Focus, Taurus, Mustang, Crown Victoria, Escape and Expedition - have seen sales and market share increases compared with last year.

Expedition sales are up 17 percent in a segment that is down 2 percent
Escape sales are up 14 percent in a segment that is up 6 percent
Focus sales are up 4 percent in a segment that is down 4 percent
Mustang sales are up 9 percent in a segment that is down 22 percent
Taurus sales are up 4 percent in a segment that is down 6 percent
Crown Victoria sales are up 4 percent in a segment that is down 3 percent

Highlights of the 2003 model incentive program include:


Zero Percent Financing*

60 months: Taurus, Ranger, Explorer, Explorer Sport, Expedition, Excursion (gasoline engine), Windstar, Crown Victoria, Escort ZX2, F-150, Econoline
48 months: Focus
36 months: Explorer Sport Trac, Mustang, Excursion (6.0-liter diesel engine), F-Super Duty (excluding 6.0-liter diesel models), Escape, F-150 SuperCrew

* In lieu of customer cash; higher rates may apply for different contract lengths; not all customers will qualify for the lowest rates

Ford announced on Tuesday that it would continue its current national sales incentives programmes in the United States essentially unchanged until September 2.

Offers include customer cash rebates of up to $US4,000, 0% financing for up to 60 months on many models and bonus cash programs on Taurus, Ranger, Windstar and Excursion. Ford has also extended a special $750 ‘Military Appreciation’ discount.
