Because of the corporate average fuel economy (CAFE) laws in the U.S., we will never get the 5.4L in a car. The 4.6L is the biggest Ford engine we get in a car, although the rumor is that the next generation Mustang will get a 4.9L SOHC and 5.0L DOHC V8. (But other rumors suggest that the Mustang may get the 3.9L DOHC V8 from the Lincoln LS.)
The 2003 Expedition will have a 5.4L with 3 valves per cylinder, and I have read on blueovalnews.com that high performance versions of your Falcon will get this engine.
Many in the U.S. are jealous of your Falcon and wish that Ford would sell it here, at least as a Mercury. Here, we are just stuck with the FWD Taurus, and the RWD Crown Victoria, which sits on a 30 year old platform.
