Ok.. I'm about to give up on this thing.. It's obviously a timing issue..

Anyone with a 94-95 thunderbird with the 3.8 V-6 that can tell me where specificly the #1 position is on the distributor? The books are so dang clueless. both haynes and Chiltons show it in different locations. The stator obviously has to be in the correct location to trigger correctly as one of the vanes is MUCH narrower than the others.

Hopefully someone can correct me if I'm wrong. but I'm getting incredibly fed up with this car.

Ah yes the thin one is to tell eec of where it all is to fire injectors spark etc. Check your other thread... The thin one is for # one.. O/K.. Let us know how you go...
