i have an 84 thunderbird originally had the 3.8l v6 with throttle body injection. i am planning on going to either a 302 or 351 with a carb i am trying to clean up under the hood and i just got into removeing the eec wiring harness but i just checked and now my fuel pumps are not working for some reason. my local ford dealer no longer has data that far back. so i am looking for anyone that can tell me if the fuel pump wiring and the eec are interlinked and if it is possibly to diconect the electronic fuel pumps from the eec system if they are interlinked and still use the pumps effectively i am gonna be useing a mallory fuel pressure regulator to bring the pressure down to where i need it for a carb.

ive got a 86 with the same prob i can jump the fuel pump relay and it works just cant seem what kicks the relay on
