frown 1990 Ford Thunderbird SC door keypad reset

I just purchased a 1990 Ford Thunderbird SC from the original owner, car is in good condition but the car was in storage the last 5 years and he could not find the original keypads and does not remember the door keypad code, If you lock the door with the key and then unlock it the alarm goes off and you have to unhook the battery.

How do you reset that dang thing, any help would be appreciated...

I'm not sure but the box that controls it might be in the trunk below the package tray. The number would be on the box.

1990 is fairly old. In some of the earlier models, the 5 digit code was on the lift arm in the trunk.

Hi, this is correct; there is a small sticker or decal that has the keyless entry code on it, located in the trunk. The Explorers have the code on the module in the left 1/4 panel area. Remove the little panel inside and you can see the box. The numbers are hard to see and read. [little sticker or decal]
