i have a 1991 ford thunderbird with the stock v6 3.8l. i was wondering will a mustang 4.6l fit in my t-bird?

Yes but so will a 4.6 from a 94-97 thunderbird.

You'll need alot more than just the motor.

It would be alot easier to just find a 94-97 V8 tbird. A nice one would go for around $1500.

Believe me it's a lot simpler to buy a Thunderbird with a 4.6 already installed.
Read Boostedbird's post. You'll need a LOT MORE than just a motor. I bet you forgot about new front springs to hold up the 4.6. How about an up grade on the brakes ?
Would be nice to stop it safely.
