351w vs. 460

I am trying to decide if I want to keep the original 351W in my 1979 thunderbird or replace it with a 460.. My original 351W has 135 horse stock.. I have changed the intake and carb. The 460 has 205 horse stock. I have changed the 351W intake and carb. and spent a decent amount of cash doing so.. But I have to change the rear main seal and the heads to 4 barrel heads, cost aprox. $600. Or I can purchase the 460 for around the same cost. Any suggestions.

Re: 351w vs. 460

if you go 460 you will have to change the gearbox and front springs aswell, plus you need to change the exhaust , radiator and engine mounts, had you accounted for that?

stick and work with what you got if you only have a small budget as changing things always costs more than you think

Re: 351w vs. 460

If I am taking the 460 from a 1976 Thunderbird, and putting it into a 1979 Thunderbird (had stock 351W) will I still need to change the springs and motor mounts?
