91 TBird - Constant low hum drains battery
(*Disclaimer, I am car-tarded and some of the simpler & more obvious solutions or cues can be missed by me. Thanks for understanding.)
Sometimes after I turn the car off there is a constant low hum noise coming from the low rear center part of the engine. I have been able to get that hum to stop by turning the ignition but not starting the car, then off again. Sometimes that doesn't work & I have to turn the ignition back beyond the off position and then back to off to get it to stop. If I leave the car humming, I find a dead battery by morning.
A couple of ideas my Dad has thought of are - Starter solenoid or the regulator?
