Hey everyone ,i have a 94 lx ,with the 3.8 n/sc and on August 17th i put #3 piston threw the block . Im looking for some help and some answers.I can purchase another 3.8 for $400 and just drop it in and be done or a friend of mine has a 1994-95 cougar with the 4.6 for $500 for the whole car, and i would like to have that but i need a little help first. First question , will the 4.6 bolt in to the same location without any mods to the engine mounts? Second question, and the most important to me ,will the computer from the cougar have the same pins as my t-bird and is there any modifications to the wiring harness , or just a direct fit? Third question, do i have to change the fuel pump because of the larger engine, or are the pumps from both cars the same? If theres anyone that has made this engine swap, please please help me out with some info.

seems to me just title the cougar if you really wanted the 4.6 motor. I'm pretty sure it'd be complicated switching the harnesses and such.

Or sell what ya got and get a 4.6 'bird, or even try to find a 'bird s/c. I go for the s/c since it puts out power of a stock 4.6.

Nah , i just did all the body work on my car , i was a week away from painting it. , good thing i didnt . The cougar has way to much damage to the drivers side. My buddy owns a towing company/ auto wreckers and he got it from a kid that drove it into a guard rail on the high doing 160km. I talked to a mechanic today and he said as long as i have the whole car it shouldnt be a problem. He said that it would be easier to swap transmission and engine together and to use the harness and computer from the cougar.
