95 TBird Stalling

My '95 TBird is stalling infrequently, but at very poor times. Has only stalled at red lights(3 times) and creeping across rough rail road tracks(1 time). It may take 2-3 nervous minutes for the engine to start again. Seems to occur more in hot weather, than cold. After restarting it runs just fine.

Fuel filter fairly new(planning to replace again soon), air filter (K&N) clean, runs great, and starts very easily(except above).

I would apprecaite any advise.

If fuel pressure, i.e. fuel pump problem, how would I diagnose?

Thanks,
Scott

Re: 95 TBird Stalling

early stages for fuel pump failure won't show up on a fuel pressure test, but i'm guessing it is the fuel pump. changing the fuel filter might help for a little bit but eventually it will only get worse.

Re: 95 TBird Stalling

Check fuel pressure at the fuel rail, also check the fuel pressure regulator. Another thing could it be vaccuum? Maybe the canister?
