96 Tbird LX 4.6L Slips when you get on it

alright just bought the car tonight knowing it had this issue, but I'm hoping for a not so difficult fix but I'm guessing worst case new tranny.

Anywho, if you take off even mid throttle it goes just fine, if you really put your foot into it (so far no matter what the speed) the rpms go up, but the car doesn't lol. I would guess tranny slip.... would new fluid, maybe some lucas additive help?

Possible a worn out gear, bad torque converter. I don't think new fluid would work. Had the same issue with my last car... Replaced fluid and the problem got worse.

Lucas additive might work.

Possible a worn out gear, bad torque converter, shift solenoid or... just a transmission that just retired. I don't think new fluid would work. Had the same issue with my last car... Replaced fluid and the problem got worse.

Lucas additive might work.
