cool cheap dual exhaust

I thought you could use fence posts, with a little effort to bent them to curve with the body, then weld or clamp them real tight to the cats. You could have a true dual exaust system. just have to get the rite size posts......
Sound good to you all? Or wrong metel for the job?

Re: cheap dual exhaust

Not one of the stupidest things i've heard but close. No offence. Fence posts are
galvanized. When you weld them they give off a deadly gas. They will still give off a
poisonious gas under the car as they are heated. Your car body had better be air tight.
Plus the pipe is very thin. you will blow a hole in it before you weld it, if you can weld it.
If this was safe and do-able you wouldn't need exhaust repair shops. You might want
to try real exhaust pipe. They are safe and last much longer. No, this doesn't sound good to me and yes it's the wrong pipe.
