I highly doubt it friend. I would do some research into the bore and stroke of the new focus engines as well as the type of pistons used. Compare part #'s and read up a little bit before jumping feet first. Personally, I would find an old Fox mustang with the same 2.3L and build it up. As far as swapping the engine from a focus, I highly doubt the bellhousing will match up. I'm no expert but I am willing to put 100 bucks on it. Just the difference in Trans: If yours has a auto trans, it will be an AOD, and I am pretty sure the Focus has either of these -
Highly unlikely you will get it to fit unless you do a lot of custom fab work and a lot of elbow grease. Not putting your idea down, but from the 5 minutes it took me to look this up, it probably won't work. Sorry man, but there is always buying an engine kit from Jon Huber! 700+ Horsepower, and some 600 ft lbs tq aint too bad for a 4 banger.
