hey guys, I Just turned 16, i bought my car around 6 months ago.Its a green 97 thunderbird Lx, fully loaded with all options. Paid 2500 w/ 70k miles, not too bad, and its in almost perfect condition.Has the 3.8 v6.

Instead of all the local people with civics who just want a body kit for looks i'd really like some preformance.

Now, i am pretty mechanically inclined, but ive never messed with a car.I saw these underpullies for my car and they look pretty simple to install, and the description says they increase horsepower to the rear wheels.Now my question is, is it that noticibal,and do they really increase MPG like the manufactorer says?Also will I need a new belt, or some type of tension adjuster(or are these already installed from factory?)

And my Last question is, are there any exhaust systems that you guys would recremed? I'm looking at a catback system, and new headers, but I'd like some input on this.

also, i jsut became aware of this...I was about to go out with some friends, but my battery was dead. Now it did this once before, and i took the battery to have it tested, people said it was bad so i bought a new new battery.Well now its doing the same. None of my electronics are on, or lights or anything. I cant think what could be draining my battery, any suggestions?

check your alternator really well you could have loose or faulty wiring problems look especially at the single wire bolted on the back of the alternator sometimes they ground out and burn up
