Steveoizzle Registered User Join Date: Oct 2009 Posts: 1	Help with my 95' custom tbird Alright I bought a 1995 ford thunderbird LX that was completely redone with a 99' f150 triton v8 engine in it. I bought it with a blown transmission from a friend and ordered a rebuilt tranny from a reputable company and it has a 6 month warrenty for 500$... the transmission i bought came out of a 99' f150 and i switched everything around and put the new one in the car. now its running in limp mode.. i just got off the phone with the ford dealership they said i either need a tranny from a 4.6 cuz the codes are different or i was thinking what if they switched all the computers and put a new ecu and pcm in it for a 5.4? would it be compatible?
