A friend of mine has an 82 T-bird. He keeps saying that it weighs 3300lbs, since that is what the title says. I look at it and just don't believe him. Can somebody inform me as to what the correct wieght is on his car?

According to my sources, the 1980 to 1982 Thunderbird weighed 3,350 lbs. This is compared to 4,082 lbs for the 1977-79 'Birds and 3,089 lbs for the 1983-86 'Birds. The 1983-86 Turbo Coupes weighed slightly more at 3,172 lbs.

Your friend's registration is pretty close.

I have a '94 T-Bird that I got smogged recently and the test weight printed on the results sheet read 3875 lbs. and I only have the base 3.8L V6.
