Well i baught the complete superharger setup for my LX from a wrecked 92 SC. I was all excited.... Got home a started to remove my intake manifold. After all the research i done i looked over one small thing. My upper radiator hose is right were the pully for the supercharger should go.

I went back to get the water pump from the 92 and it was already gone. So i sold the setup for $400, so i made $200. So now im gonna chrome my entire motor.
What type of paint should i get? They have paints for different apps at the parts store. I wanna chrome the intake manifold, Valve covers, Altenator and the AC. I noticed that they all have a differant surface.

And is there anything i should know about taking the Manifold off and cleaning it inside and out?(gaskets, sealers, ect.) Or is it as simple as unbolt and bolt?

Chroming is a plating process not a paint. To me, chrome colored paint looks really bad. It will not be smooth & will look like a very bright silver. But that's just my opinion.

Do feel too bad Speaker King. The gods were smiling on you and you made $200.00. They
forgot to tell you that you cannot put a S.C. turbo on a regular 3.8. The S.C. 3.8 is a
propriatory motor made only for the turbo. Nothing from the block up is inter changable. They are not the same. They do bolt up to a point but the regular 3.8 won't live long with a turbo. You lucked out when you unloaded your stuff.

Yeah i know, but it would still look better than what it looks like now. (that rusted blue factory paint)

Well.....not all hope is lost, i see new HGs and a 70mm turbo in my future.

It wont be a SuperCoupe, But a TurboCoupe will do.

Sounds like a beautifull sleeper. Good luck. Hope everything works out for you. Just
make sure you keep the boost under 8 lbs. and use the injectors. NO CARBURATOR.
Unless you have a spare complete short block, go wild.

Yeah i think ill stick with the newer Fi, altho i do have more experience with carburators

Here is the thing. You can have all the experiance in the world with carbs. A carburator
doesn't care. It will throw gas and air into an engine untill it explodes. An injected system
with the computer will compensate for load, torque," boost ", gas flow, timing, heat, and
preignition, a carb will not. My engine rebuilders do not recommend a carb on a turbo
system over 8 lbs. boost unless you change the heads and lower the compression. If you don't you could crush the piston tops and break the upper ring lands. That is rare but i usually see a connecting rod peaking through the block. I hope you get this going.
