Hey everyone, I just bought a new Thunderbird and was looking for some information on it. I really just bought it to have something to drive, but it seems it's not that bad of a car after all. I got a 1987 5.0 V8 which I'm guessing is the LX Coupe.

I was wondering if there were any good sites to look for parts on and if I could do anything to it to make it run better/faster.

I've never had a car this old, so it's actually pretty new to me =P

It is basically a 5.0L Mustang slightly detuned, so most of the peformance parts will work or can be made to work. Chassis is the same Fox Chassis between the Mustang and T-Birds. (Difference being wheelbase length) So you can do heads, intake, cam...you get the idea. Summit racing has some tech support so they can probably tell you what could fit and not fit.
